DMS – 20 years of excellence in data acquisition and control.
Founded by Directors Paul Kemp and Len Walker in 1992, AIID Solutions’ success has been built around technical expertise and a commitment to customer service.
AIID Solutions acquired the DMS range of data acquisition and control products in 1992, having seen its potential for development. Since its launch in 1980, the DMS range had gained an enviable reputation for reliability, being used in thousands of applications around the world. In acquiring the products, AIID’s objectives were to maintain continuity of supply and to offer a greater level of support for DMS users.
AIID continued to develop modular products to build on the success of the DMS series. Among the first in the new generation of distributed I/O modules the popular DMS3000 range was launched in 1996. These products continue to provide accurate, reliable and cost-effective solutions for monitoring and control.
The company continues to evolve and AIID’s focus on customer service resulted in the launch of their Special Products Division in 2000. Complementing the company’s ongoing product development activities, the Special Products Division provides application specific products for OEMs and end users.
There has been much interest in the latest developments with AIID becoming a founder member of VehTec, a global alliance with members in the U.K., U.S.A. and mainland Europe. The VehTec group of Companies have combined to pool resources and expertise to provide a comprehensive range of products, systems and engineering services specifically designed for the automotive and transportation industry.
Paul is AIID Solutions’ Managing Director. His manufacturing background, working in electronics companies, has instilled a common sense approach and honed his organisational skills.
Previously Production Manager with DI-AN Microsystems, Paul is now responsible for AIID Solutions’ Operations and Production and for implementing the company’s long term growth plans.
He comments “I have always enjoyed the manufacturing environment. I find working with our close-knit team and being able to move the company forward really rewarding. The Special Products Division is proving to be very popular, and the formation of the Vehtec Group is a particularly exciting prospect.”
Len Walker
Len is the company’s Technical Director, with 20 years’ experience of creating products for the industrial environment. Previously Chief Engineer with DI-AN Microsystems, he specialised in hardware design for data acquisition. As a Product Development Engineer with ICL he has also designed mainframes.
His role with AIID Solutions involves the design and specification of products, and providing detailed technical sales assistance. Len is also responsible for Technical Support – one of the key elements of AIID Solutions’ offering.
He adds “I particularly enjoy the challenge of taking ideas and turning them into reality. Developing new products means great satisfaction in solving problems for customers and learning more about their processes.”
